only open until 6 during the week, till 4 on Saturday and closed on Sunday, never have any events how in the world are they keeping the doors open? Oh yeah, forgot, they no longer offer referral fee's when you send someone in and they by a bike.
If so they are having some event tomorrow if I am not mistaken. The teamed up with some pool and spa place and the Hooters girls will be there in them. We passed by there tonight and I saw all the spas set up outside with all sorts of tents and things.
Check their website to be sure.
I know Pat Rogers gets some bad press about buying bikes but I have been thoroughly impressed with the parts dept. I get 10% off with my national HOG card. Ther are open all of the time and I can buy stuff and bring it back if it doesn't suit me.
I get greeted as I walk into the door every time and it's a nice dealership.
I bought my RK from HD of Charlotte but they don't open their doors enough either, plus they don't know whata discount is.
Any dealer who is stupid enough to stick with catalogue prices, knowing that we can get 15%+ off of our parts online is nothing but a dinosaur.
My point was they don't seem to customer friendly,. they moved to this nice big dealership with plans to be one of the front runners in the area and they only do things when forced, such as the little event they are doing today, it's a National open house and Harley forces them to do it. It's amazing looking at thier calendar, theres nothing listed under events. Snort, I have been to so many events at CHD it's amazing, they had one today (Sat) but I just didnt have it in me to go, just been working to much. CHD has 9 events listed on thier website, they typically have something going on every weekend. I have no experience with thier service department but have met John the Service Manager, seems like a nice guy, Part is a different story, I think they charge 10% OVER list, Also was unable to make a deal on a 1.5 Year old leftover (they wanted $500.00 under list).
I bought my RK from Charlotte and was happy with my deal. Shopped all the local stores but when it was time to buy, Charlotte had my bike (during the strike). They do have the events and I've been to them. I didn't make theirs today but did get a few miles in locally.
I've been to *** for one event and to shop early on.
Yeah I don't get the 9-6 attitude that the dealers have, they are a retail store and need to be open at times when we are away from work. That's why I piped up about Pat Rogers. They're alway open and offer 10% off parts with a national HOG card. I could get better online but it's nice to touch what you're buying sometimes.
I have to agree with Snort, Pat Rogers HD parts department is one of the best around. Guys are always friendly and go out of thier way to please. Plus 10% discount with a just a national hog membership. Can't say a whole lot about the sales and service....they suck..... Carolina HD has about the best service department.. but their parts department will only give a 10% discount if your a Carolina HD Hog member. What's up with that??? Both Carolina and PR's HD have good hours.
it just kills me when I have to work late one day it's always the day I want something, by the time I can get to them they are already closed, don't get me wrong their parts department is great. I'm just amazed why they would be so odd or different that all their other surrounding dealers/competition.
Amy, John is one funny guy, I met him through Andy, Jan and her sister (I can never remember her name) they sit next to us at the Panther games.
In 2005 when I was shopping for a motorcycle, ***'s had a year old Road King on their web site that looked to be what I wanted and the asking price was fair. On Saturday I drove to Rock Hill ( they were still in their old location ) with the intention of buying the RK if it looked anywhere close to how it appeared on the web site. When I got there they were closed On a Saturday! Sign on the door said "Closed, Gone to Myrtle Beach for Bike Week". I know just about everyone with a motorcycle wants to go to Bike Week but how do you close the business on a Saturday so your employees can go to the beach?
So I got back in my truck and drove from Rock Hill to Tilley's in Statesville and bought my 2005 RK Classic.
A friend of mine bought a new Ultra Classic back in May. He had planned on buying at Carolina in Gastonia. On the way back from Columbia one day he stopped in *** just to see if they had the color he wanted. After a short conversation with the salesman he was told "We'll beat Carolina's price". He had not told them what Carolina's quote was yet. They told him, it doesn't matter, we'll beat it. He bought his UC from ***.
