I witnessed a wreck today at Stations Inn and man does it really make you think. A Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic was turning into the parking lot on the left when a truck hit them from the rear. That was one of the worse sounds someone can hear. The rider seemed to be okay but the passenger was in obvious pain. Her injuries were not life threatening but one look at her hand would make the thoughest guy or girl a little faint.
I am not sure if anyone from the truck was hurt but I seriously doubt it. This was our first father and son ride and this was our first stop. Hopefully, my son will get over the image of the motorcycle getting hit and will get back on my bike again.
Damn Trav, I hate to hear of any bro getting smacked by a cage [:@]. Sorry the son had to see it as well. Thats just something all of us have to deal with everytime we get on our bikes. We just love that feeling of riding we take that chance and it's something like that makes us even more careful. Just got in from a poker run down here and all made it through ok. May post some pics.
When I went there I thought it was pretty cool but maybe unnecessary when every time that someone would pull out and sometimes in that they had a guy out there directing traffic. Maybe it isn't so unnecessary.
Hope the riders are okay.
I've been thinking about when to tkae my 10 year old ona longer trip with me. I'm just trying to get him broken in right now. I would hat to see or at worst have that happen to us.
I am not sure if it was a brand new one. It was black and silver. It had the leather tour pack. I have seen some newer onew that didn't have the leather tour packs.
I do know it was one of the nicest bikes I have seen.
