I do more reading on here than posting but would like to meet up with you guys. the wife and I will be leaving out on the 14th from lancaster sc and returning on the 16th.
Well change of plans....After reading reviews on Tripadvisor.com about Captains Quarters not one review but about 30 reviews (got tired of reading) I have cancelled our reservations there and have made new ones for the Compass Cove,. buddy here at work suggested it...Looks like a nice place and same $ as Captains Quarters...
Read reviews about Compass Cove at tripadvisor.com also and ALL were VERY Positive!!!
what did they say becasue that is where we are staying
ALL the reviews said the place sunk of urine, all the rooms were dirty, most of the plumbing didn't work or were VERY slow....Carpets dirty but hell your at the beach, I would expect that one...that pretty much was enough for me, don't plan on staying in the room MUCH while we're there but I do like to have running and working plumbing....
Edited: (Added the following)When I went to get the link to post, saw a "few" new posts (guess they updated the server) and they say it's improved, but read the reviews starting in Feb and on back some really bad reviews of the place
yeah I saw the revies but they had new ones up so maybe they turn thing around plu I called and question the reviews and threat to cancel and they gave me 20 dollars off a night so know we are staying ina ocean ffront room for like 65.00 a night wich is damn near impossable during bike week.
We have got about 20 bikes coming down from Boone on the 14th. We are staying at the Camelot on Ocean Blvd. and 21st Ave. North. I am trailering the chopper and fatboy to Spartanburg on the Tuesday the 13th and hitting some local biker spots there (LBCC, Wild Wings, Chiefs, etc. )that afternoon and evening. Riding from Spartanburg to Myrtle Wednesday morning, and the girls are in my chase truck and trailer. Hope to meet some new friends - this is our 9th year and we always do.Can't wait. Cheers.
