Wanna get high?
Up in the mountains that is? hmmmm....is it 4:20? 
While doing my best reading, I came up with this idea for a road trip. 6 states, 6 highest points.
1/7 Georgia - Brasstown Bald Mountain - 4784 ft
2 Soutn Carolina - Sassafras Mountain - 3560 ft
3 North Carolina - Mount Mitchell Mountain - 6684 ft
4 Virginia - Mount Rogers Mountain - 5729 ft
5 Kentucky - Black Mountain - 4145 ft
6 Tennessee - Clingmans Dome Mountain - 6643 ft
This is a map I've started to put together, about 700 mi.

Anyone interested in joining us the last week of April?
We've been to the Smokes before, wondering if anyone knows of side roads/attractions around the areas they could recommend?

There are a group of us heading from Ft. Lauderdale to Leesbug Bikfest via five of those States, just make things interesting. We will have to look at our route plan and see if we can hit any of them. Good idea.

I like it other than the part going through Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. You might want to go another route, depending what day you will be there. The traffic can be horrible.

I know what you mean about the traffic, It'll be during the middle of the week so not too bad...
Trubit, that's a hell of a detour, reminds me of that Charlie Daniels song Uneasy Rider, "I think I'm gonna reroute my trip I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped If I went to L.A., via Omaha"...When you guys leaving? (oops just check your posting), we're hitting Leesburg on Sat., then headin up from there. I have that last week of April off, too bad you can't change you schedule and we could all ride up...my buddy has a cabin in Boone, NC...no charge!

Unfortunately work committments end of April and May have us going early this year. We went in early June last year. Had a blast, did not want to come home. I love the Boone area. Maybe we will get another chance for a trip later in the Summer or Fall. We will post on the Forum if we get to go again.
