It not bike week...it is bike weekend. The Virginia Beach Bike Classic. It was the first weekend in May this year. The vendors area is lame and they cahrge $25 to get in.
Waste of time and money. Va. Beach wants no parts of bikers. Its a "Family Oriented" city. As was said above $25 a day entry fee to the lame vendors.
Used to be better when it was at the camp ground across the street.
The Virginia Beach Bike Classic is 3 days. We've always managed to enjoy ourselves very much. The concerts are good. The two campgrounds welcome all the bikers and Boneshakers is right down the street. I realize that it's diff now being at Camp Pendleton but it's still fun and the entry fee pays for the bands and entrance for the whole event.
Virginia Beach is "family oriented" but that doesn't mean they discourage bikers and events. I've lived here for 35 years and have never felt that way. Our local Southside HD, Bayside HD and Hampton Roads HD sponsor many Poker Runs and charity events along with the Bike Classic and are supported by Virginia Beach and surrounding cities.
