They are supposedly having a grand opening week of bike week.
I'm planning leaving from greenville one day between the 10th and 17th and make a ride down there - anybody interested in meeting up and riding down there for the day? They are supposed to have a bunch of vendors.
unfortunately I'll be working, but I would suggest that u take this ride. it's a beautiful new shop and I have some great personal friends there. if u go, make sure u meet chris brown in service and the tech named hippie. they're both great guys. tell them Dustin from the Doghouse sent u and they'll really take care of u!!
I think Beach House is only 18 to 20 miles North. It's a nice ride and a the best looking H-D shop I've ever been in. If you're going, plan on stopping in Calabash on the way. Two of our locals restaurants are The Seafood Hut and Ella's. Both are fresh, cheap and good. The Seafood Hut has a daily special (shrimp, d.crab, clam s., etch) slaw, fries and tea for $6.00. (It's a lunch size portion.) I'm unsure what day I'll get to Beach House, we have kids coming for the weekend.
Whats the date on that?? Me and a bud are thinkin of headed that way around that time for a day ride. I'm here in Hope Mills NC
Plans have changed and have been finalized - I'll be leaving Greenville, NC about 8:00 Tuesday am and headed that way - anybody want to meet up somewhere, shoot me a pm or post up or call 252-814-4824.
Planning on stopping at the HD place then headed on down to Murrell's Inlet.
I rode up to Beach House yesterday (Saturday). It's only 15 miles from NMB. There's numerous vendors there. I spent about an hour with "Wild Bill" the pinstripe man. He did a few things on my bike to show me what would look good then we discussed price and I was short on cash (so he wiped it clean).
I had a alarming ride back to Little River (just North of NMB) from Shallotte. Leaving Beach House H-D I headed South on 17. A sport bike with a black rider blew by me in the left lane. Then he proceeds to make what looked to be 100 mph blasts and then slow to 30 or 40 mph to block left lane traffic and make another run. He did this a half dozen times, each time I got fairly close to him in the right lane. On his second traffic back up I noticed an automatic pistol on his right side in plain view (it was in a holster on his belt). At this point I started to pay closer attention to him. On his last blast and almost stopping traffic when he slowed down I passed him then he is ridding just behind he in the left lane. In my life there's several rules I've learned and live by. If you have a gun and I know it, behind me is not going to work. We got into some other traffic and he had to pass me in the left lane and then crossed back into SC. This whole deal pisses me off for several reasons. Of all the riders I've seen, this Scumbag takes the cake just by the way he was ridding. Second, I'll bet you a $1000.00 he didn't have a Pistol Permit for North or South Carolina. I can tell you if I had been in a car I would have called the HP on his maggot butt as soon as I saw the gun. If this is a start of what's Memorial Day Crime Fest is going to be, it's not going to be good.
