The weekend of June 3rd. There is going to be a forum gathering that weekend. Camping or hotel, whatever you prefer. Also, some day long riding planned. There are a couple of other threads, I think one in this section, and another in the Members meeting members, or the General Harley Discussion secction. Look for NC/SC Meet and Greet Rally, or run a search for Lake Lure for all details.

ok, yeah I know about that one. I thought from one of the post's that there was a get together this weekend too. my bad....

I got out and rode about 30 miles today. I didn't see another bike out cept for a hog sitting outside a little bar in lincolnton. Did see 2 mopeds out though. One tried to take me, but i was quick on the throttle, and finally beat him. I gotta stop taking off in 5 gear.....[:@]

Can anyone provide a nice route to the Jun 3rd affair ...

I checked the map. How is 49 ? Dont think I ever traveled that route.
I figured 85/40 to 49 take all the way to the eastern side of Charlotte.

Can anyone provide a nice scenic route from 49 to Licolnton ?

Try Mapquest http://www.mapquest.com/go to advanced search and choose "avoid highways" and see what comes up.
85 and 77 are white knuckle in places.

Alternate route would be 49 to 52 to 150.
