Hope this helps!
I am in South West Charlotte. I am looking for something other than macs to hang
I did, If you guys get up here again, let me know, and have a place to crash and have a beer
Find one of the bars mentioned (Easy Eddies, McKoy's, etc.) or one of the gear shops, and pick up the mags to see what's going on...
Some bike nights are starting to pick up. Sometimes it takes awhile to meet people w/ similar interests, depending on how much you like to ride vs drink, etc.
I've gone to some of these things w/ a friend or alone and not met anyone, I've met cool people I only see there, and once in awhile I meet someone who is cool enough to hang out with and go for a ride at a later time...
Welcome to the area, maybe I'll see ya somewhere...
http://www.easyeddiesmc.com/index.asp lots of events, bike nights, and runs
http://www.macspeedshop.com/ I know you said you wanted another place, but did you know they have 3 locations? SW CLT off 49/s tryon (newest location), the most well known location is s. of downtown on South Blvd (wed bike night), and they have one at the lake (thur bike night).
http://www.mckoysgotsmoke.com/ fri bike night and participates in runs and events on weekends or whatever
http://www.fullthrottlemagazine.com/ I think this is one of the popular magazines you'll see on the racks around NC area w/ events and rides etc.
http://www.carolinachromemagazine.com/2.html you are only a few miles from the SC border, so here's one magazine to look for, some info on their site too...
Found this site for ya, don't know how good it is, has a few bigger events listed http://www.lets-ride.com/event/northcarolina.htm

Welcome to the Carolinas. I have a friend in Mooresville that I visit roughly once a month. Maybe we can hook up sometime during the summer for a ride.

Since I live in the country, I don't get to partake in any bike nights. Just too far away. I did have a chance to hit the Quaker Steak in Greenville, SC last week (also on wed. nite) and it rocked. Planning on hitting again this coming week if anyone is interested in riding down. It's a 1.5hr ride for me from my temp. home in Columbia,sc.
There's McKoy's on Pineville-Mathews Road. Friday night they have a pretty good bike night.
