. Sporty is a skeleton, parts on order and ribs healing slowly but surely. Can't wait to ride again!

******,

You don't know me but I hate to see any fellow rider go down. Did you make a claim on your insurance or are you eating the repairs out of your pocket?

If you're having to pay out of pocket and need anything painted. Let me know, I'll repaint any damaged parts on your bike for free. You can contact me at...

I'm in Charlotte, NC.

Collision Specialties, Inc.
(704) 882-1150

Get well soon.

Mark

Damn Mark, I really don't know what to say. I had coverage for the Bike, None for me! Hahahahahaa! Got any Spareribs around there?!?!?! Man that is one heck of an offer, but I'll leave it on the table for some less fortunate soul than myself. It aint that I don't appreciate it though, I'm talkin to the locals about some Custom work but I hope it aint to the tune of $2500!! I have a scheme designed but haven't as yet got to the shop to discuss how much if any of it that I can afford. I'm going to change the color scheme if nothing else, going with my patriotic side and use Red, White and Blue. Fairly good bit of damage to the tank, really a small dent and scratched all to hell, front fender got a little road rash to the front lip.
I am beginning to understand this Brotherhood thing alot more since my accident. Your offer and what terrysc did for me the day of the accident and the days since have proven to me that there are Biker Brothers out there.
thanks for the offer. Maybe when I get well we can make arrangements to meet and ride a few miles together, shouldn't be to hard to get Charlotte and Spartanburg together, plus i would love to see some of your work!
Thanks Bro!
Oh **** I almost forgot, WELCOME TO HDF!

That's cool. I don't mind helping a fellow rider out especially if he is paying for it out of his pocket. A few replacement pieces here or there isn't going to hurt anyone...

Now, an allover custom scheme, well that's a different story. It's not that we can't do it, but giving a 2500 paint job to someone for laying their bike down will cause alot of people to suddenly lose control and require new paint. I wouldn't want to be responsible for that, would I? [X(]

The offer is still open, if he needs a few parts painted back to stock and does not have insurance, I'll be more than happy to help him out.

Thanks guys. I honestly believe in the what goes around, comes around. As you may know from my first post, I've been riding sportibikes for 20 some years. I got into the racing thing about 4-5 years ago and it trailed off to time at the track or going to deals gap.

My point is, I'm new to the HD thing. But as I said before, I finally understand the saying.... "if I had to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand". I completely understand the Harley brotherhood thing. I always wave to fellow riders (even from my truck...go figure) and try to help out someone the way I would want help.

So, my offer to you was not charity but out of friendship (though we haven't met)....

Thanks for welcoming me into the forum.

Mark
