hope you all had a good day out riding weather was great wish i could've been out there too
Should gone for a long ride... but chores and all that.... still lunch at Wilson bros in South Hill, via Kerr Dam, and then home via Eaton Ferry..... barely 200 miles.....oh well, maybe tomorrow
Was planing on making a quite weekend of it and maybe do a short ride downtown with the wife. Then I discovered I left my detachable sissy bar stuff down in Raeford, and the wife will not ride without the thing. So, 4 hour round trip to get it on that boring *** Highway 1. Well, at least we made it downtown afterwards.
Very nice weather today. We need to plan that RARC (Raleigh Area Roll Call) get together now that the weather's nicer. So, hurry and get that bike all fixed up Dreamer. Sorry to hear about your mishap. Sounds like the guy that pushed you is a stand up guy though so it coulda been worse I guess.

Yesterday was perfect! Got in about 150 miles taking a long route out to the Bentonville battle reenactment. Bikes everywhere, lots of passing smiles on the road.
I got out some Saturday and Sunday. Not looking too shabby for a ride or two this coming up weekend, either. Just had a new rear tire put on my bike Friday. Fourth rear tire for the bike with just over 14K miles on it. This bike eats tires but it's sure fun to be on it as it does.

Looks like you made it to "biker breakfast" in hillsbrough..... have they got the buffet going yet?
Went there, and they had the flyer up for a $6.99 buffet.... but NO buffet.....
oh well no big deal, as I take the WAY out of the way loop there and back.... (100 +/- miles from Raleigh)

Yeah, I made it up there Sunday morning. They got picture proof... photo #4 here: http://www.meetup.com/jbbchd/photos/861148/#13826599
Yes, they had a buffet set up but frankly it was pitiful. Worst breakfast buffet I've been to in a while. I would consider going back for the meetup but I'd stop somewhere else along the way to eat before I got there. I saw a Waffle House sign as I was getting near... Should have stopped there. Yeah, that's right... even Waffle House would have been better. I guess that's all I have to say about the buffet to give you an idea of how good it was, huh? There were probably 30 or so bikes out there, probably 70-80% of them Harleys. I rode from Fuquay and didn't take the best route. I should have gone up 751 and hit 40 for 13 miles instead of 421 to 40 for 37 miles. I just got in hurry and typed the address into google maps and took off, following the (crappy) directions it gave me without thinking about it. I took the backroads/751 on the way home.
