The city of Myrtle Beach is not able to "kill" either the spring nor fall rally. They are still scheduled and will still go on in 2010. All they did last year, and will do again this year is set up check points at the city limits to hassle people and keep them out of the city proper. All of the events and vendors are set up outside the city limits (North Myrtle/Murrels Inlet), and you can bypass the city using either highways 22 or 31.

Some people will continue to boycott the events, and others will still go as many have, and will continue to do so. It's not the event it used to be with fewer riders and vendors. As the time gets closer, people will again voice their opinions on the whole Myrtle Beach thing.

Sorry, the Myrtle area rallies has seen the last of my money, don't go where bikers are not welcome and are hassled at every opportunity. I have lost nothing in MB that I need to go back for, I do feel sorry for the vendors and folks who make their living there, I guess they will have to come up with another group of folks that want to come to town and spend money like bikers do and did.

My opinion is that with time the rally will die a slow death at Myrtle B. area and move up or down the coast somewhere, lots of towns besides MB that would welcome the money and be willing to put up with a few beer drinking, fun loving, maybe at times a little bit wild bikers for a week or two.

A few friends went this past spring and said it was the pits. So needless to say they and myself won't plan on attending anymore of their events.
