My bike was backed into in a parking lot 2 mondays ago and caused $4700 worth of damage. Once Thunder Tower gets it all back together we will have to go ride. I'm hoping it won't be too long now. Front fender, saddle bags and new exhaust will be here tomorrow, and TTHD said they are sending the tank of for paint today. They only had to order the stage 1 air cleaner, so the other cosmetic stuff should be in stock already.
I ordered a set of the yaffe bagger bars and those damn things are 4-6 weeks on back order. Looks like I'll be doing that PITA install myself when they arrive.
It figures that the exact day my bike was hit turned out to be when the weather changed...
yeah I read about that on another thread I am glad someone saw it happen and stopped the guy........let me know if you need any help on the bar install.........I installed mine last year and it wasnt hard just time consumeing.......and hit me up some time and we will ride.....

I was hit in the *** twice in 2010.
In Brevard sitting at a light, I checked my rear pulling to a stop and nothing behind me. An idiot pulls out of a parking lot and rolls up behind me and bumps me . My Street Bob has a chopped rear fender and all he hit was rubber. I did not go down luckily.
Pulling up to a ticket booth on the Kansas Turnpike, Check my rear and the car behind me shifts lanes to my left. I pull the ticket from my tank bag and get hit by the idiot when he changes lanes again to my lane. I'm on my BMW GSA with alluminum Happy Trails panniers and it just bowed them in a little but they protected the bike.
A Transit Authority Cop said he was hit on his Gold Wing like that and it did $2000 worth of damage.
I mean how did these numb nuts not see me?
How did that idiot not see your touring bike? It's not exactly small.

If anyone is out riding on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays in the McBee area stop in at McLeod Farms Museum on Hwy 151 and chat with me. I am working in the museum on these days just ask for Wayne. I have been out of riding commission for awhile with a nasty shoulder injury but hoping to be able to ride by May or June.
Oh - i forgot to mention. Spoke to Thunder Tower yesterday and my bike will be ready tomorrow. They have been awesome. A lot faster than the 4-6 weeks they quoted me originally.
