We were there today(Saturday) had a great time, checked out the wheels through time(a must see) Seemed to be a pretty good turn out, heard of a accident heading toward Cherokee that had it blocked off but that was about it.
Just got home..i think the rally itself has a lot of improving to do,but great riding, weather and great fun at the campground..hope everyone got home ok....
Went up Saturday, had a decent time. A few vendors, some dealer clothes that they couldn't get rid of 50% off. Some nice bikes but just great riding weather. Downer for the weekend was that a rider got killed on the road from Cherokee to Maggie, Missed a curve, ran through a ditch and broke his neck on a rock. No idea who he/she was or if there was a passenger. Single bike incident.
I've heard the surviviors rally is alot rowdier but this was ok for a short destination when coupled with the "Wheels through Time" and the great day to ride.

I agree on the ralley part, didn't have allot going on at all but that was pretty cool because it gave more time to ride and what a great area to ride around.
We rode down Thursday and came back Sunday. Enjoyed it a lot. Went thru the Wheels Thru Time Museum, rode part of the Parkway, went to Cherokee, also the Harley Shop on 23. The entertainment at the Rally was good. Especially Bennie Wilson. He put on a great show! Also Gene Lummus (the Harley dealer) was a riot giving out shirts at the show. Enjoyed the rally because it was not so large you couldn't get around. This was my first trip to the Rally and would like to return next fall. Don't know anything about the Cherokee rally. When is it?
