Hey all....As a newer Harley owner (riding since I was 4 though), I'm learning quickly how expensive the stealerships are with maintenance...I've got the service manual and have done some upgrades myself. The next thing that I would like to do after my next road trip is changing fluids in all 3 to something other than Syn 3..One of the simplest things to do but I would prefer having someone more experienced with me having a beer or 3 and wrenching together just so I'm not reinventing the wheel...
So can I get a roll call of area guys that like to wrench and/or have done simple maintenance in the past that would be interested in meeting up to a show a newbie some basic maint work?
damn.... I thought it said WENCHES..... made me look..... LOLOLOL
Actually.... a three hole change is pretty easy..... just follow the service manual
I took a 2 liter soft drink bottle, and did a littel surgery, so when I remove the filter, it catches what ever doesn drain out the bottom...
I know it's pretty easy..Ive read up on it here as well as the manual and it seems pretty straight forward...I'm more interested in the comradary of wrenching with a fellow rider plus the added benefit of being able to learn by watching and be hands on vs flipping back and forth in the manual to make sure that I'm doing everything correct
