We ended up going down 83 to Sonoita, 82 into Tombstone.
It was so packed we ended up waiting 45 minutes just to get a table at the Crystal Palace, and by the time we got done with lunch, it was time to go.
Sure was a lot of eye candy there.
Took 80 back to 10. I shot off back to 83 and home and he continued on into Tucson.
I just spent a few days in Tombstone for the ALR bike fest and had a blast! Perfect weather and nice riding. Went down to Bisbee to wander around the yuppy areas and rode back to Sierra Vista for a beer at the Legion post there. Lots to see and do if you are interested in the old southwest but very touristy.

ALR = American Leigon Riders, Some Americal Legion post have groups of riders.
The American Leigon Post in Tombstone put on and event. Other ALR Groups rode down and attended the event. The Proceeds from the event go towards helping other veterans groups and charities.

I'm moving out to Sierra Vista within the next 45 days. Looking for people to ride with and events and places to go other than just trying to find my way around. lol

Nice time to move out there. I am not sure of any other riding groups down south other than the ALR and Patriot Guard although there is always a bunch of bikes out this time of year so you should not have trouble finding someone. I get down there fairly often in the winter. That fluffy white stuff in the mountains up north hinders my twisties.
If you are a Veteran or Son of a Veteran think on joining the American Legion in Sierra Vista or Tombstone

Let me know when you get here. I live in Tombstone and bartend two days a week here. Quite a few of us ride almost daily.
I visited AZ 10 years back with my daughter. Loved it. Landed in Phoenix @ 2300hrs. 110* Drove up to Flagstaff, temp dropped to 37* going up 80 up the mountain, it was snowing.
Flagstaff is tired and dirty, did the sight seeing thing for 2 days and made a few stops going back to Scottsdale. Then stayed in Tucson over night on our way to Tombstone, got there early
38* @ 0700hrs. frost on the tombstones. Spent the day there then headed back to Scottsdale for our flight out of Phoenix the next morning.
I'd move there in a heartbeat if the wife would go.
We're driving out from Delaware on the 3rd and will be there for the final walk through on the home we bought on the 9th then closing on the 10th and moving our stuff in. I'm towing my bike in a uhaul trailer with other stuff and wife will have a trailer full of stuff. Then we have 6 pods of our stuff showing up five days later. We're also bringing 10 cats. Should be an interesting drive
