If you wanted to hot-rod your engine, and lived in New Mexico who would you go to?
I want to bore out the engine to at least 110, and have a good build, I have no loyalty to Harley/SE parts, and infact am sure want to go another route. I'm looking for a shope that is honest, and knows what they are doing. I don't want to spend thousands on a build, only to find out the shope didn't recomend a good combination of parts. I'm hoping to get a least 100hp/100+tq from this build. Who in New Mexico can I tust to put a good combination of parts together, do good work, and then stand behind it. Money is not so much an issue... I can save 'till I can pay for what I want. I'm not in a hurry, but I would like to start to devolope a relationship with an indy shop.
Santa Fe or Albuquerque areas would be best. Any recomendations?
Hey I have a 06ST 88 cubic incher and want to go up to 95......I'm just above Santa Fe and I have an enclosed trailer so I'm looking for a good shop this winter too.....besides the shop in Prescott......can anyone recomend a top notch shop in Texas...say Amarillo or Elspaso.....how about Colorado say CO springs or denver?????
New Life Builders in Santa Fe (long history here and good builders)
Santa Fe Cycle and Machine (Marty...shop is right behind the Intel plant in Rio Rancho next to the Italian/American Club)...he is an indy and one man shop, may be a bit slow because of inventory, but did a sweet build on my EVO. No shortcuts, no slop...just a good wrench and decent fellow.
Hey thanks for the info on the shops in S.F. and Alb.....I'm two weeks away from taking the bike over to GMR to get punched out to 98 with cams and ported heads.....but I'm sure there will be other things once the snow breaks and I get to doing some riding.
