My girlfriend I will be headed down Friday morning. Look forward to it. It will be our first time down there. We have friends that are leaving Thursday we will be meeting up with.
Yea I'm thinking about taking a vacation day for Friday. Over on the R.O.T broad there's a meet up around 9:00 in the mourning where a group ride will take place heading up to Luckenbach and back to the rally.
I am planning on riding down on the 11th, leaving mid-morning and coming back on the 14th. I have digs in Georgetown so if I am on 281 I usually break off at Leander and but back to 35.
I will be leaving Thur. a.m., June 11, from Dallas. This will be my 13th out of 15 ROT's. The ROT is an awesome rally with something for everybody. It is well organized and gets better every year. The Austin area and the TX Hillcountry are very nice places to ride and recreate at. There are a myriad of routes through the Hillcountry with lots of great watering holes, BBQ's, and unique scenery. The weather is usually very hot, and dry. However one year we had the "Monsoon". My boots were wet for 4 days. Lots of vendors, bikes, babes, and brew. Whole lotta' fun.

I heard that, it must have been 2007, hell I had just moved down here and looking at buying a home south of Austin. I found my home on the fare end of Hays County just up the road from what I thought was a lake. Turned out being a hell of a lot of farm lake under water............LOL!
I’m on a four day work week already and I just got approved to take two vacation days. I can’t think of a better reason to take them! I’m heading down Wednesday. I saw on the ROT board that they are allowing tent campers in on Wednesday – there just aren’t any vendors and whatnot.
I lived in Austin for a few years – so, it should be easy for me to find something to do to occupy my time there. I’m really looking forward to it. Ordered $55 worth of beads yesterday…LOL I’m not even sure I can pack all of those.
