Definitely looking into the ROT rally this year. There's also a Peace Officers memorial ride in may, go check it out if you guys can. Might see about meeting up then.
Went to the ROT for years. Don't make the trip any longer, as it's just too hot for my old bones. Wish they'd go back to a Spring event. tp dd50
Jerry, Charlie, Jim, Roger and I talked about moving the date earlier many times and always came away with the original time we setup in 1994 for the first 1995 ROT rally.
Really enjoyed the ROT rally when I attended. Craziness at the site, great concerts, parade downtown, and well put together events, all well done. Guess the summer heat just go to be too much. Prices of entrance, food and drink on site became simply too high, over a four day event too.
Go to the LSR in Galveston every year now. Cooler temps, and almost no high costs to be there. All are welcome to the island this November. tp
East Texas Piney Woods, Palestine Texas area. If you have any questions about riding around this area, let me know. Lots of pretty nice FM roads thru the Piney Woods.
