Texas roll call

Don't think Houston proper has a rally any part of the year. Dallas had one started but it died, and the NTRR has sucked too.
I wrote to both Harley HOG chapters in Austin but no replies. I know I want to ride to Frederickburg but that's all I can think of at this time. Maybe one our more of you would like to show a former Texas boy around. Best email is Tex@AmericanHarleyRiders.com
Don't mean to bust in on your thread but I am trying to get some info regarding recommended riding in the Austin Area. I use to live there many years ago but did not have a scoot then. Now living in San Diego and planning a ride out your way on or about Sept 26th and be back in Dago on Oct 7th. Will be staying at my brother place in Blanco but want to get in some good hill country riding and even have a Lone Star Beer

There are so many good places to ride here,it's hard to tell you where to start.Blanco is a great place to base out of because there is allot to see around there.Gruene will be a nice place to start,Alamo city HD just opened a shop there. You mentioned Fredericksburg, when you head over there you should go by Luckenbach for that Lonestar beer.If you want to do a long days ride,Bandera,Leakey and Kerrville area is awesome.Look for Hwy 337 on the TX map from Medina to Leakey. This is the best road in the Hill country in My opinion. It has some great 10 MPH curves and the views are some of the best in Texas. These are just a few places off the top of my head but there are a whole lot more.I'll be glad to help in any way I can so drop me an email if you'd like and I'll help as much as I can.Maybe we can get together for a ride.I only live 30 or 40 miles from Blanco so getting together for a ride will be simple.I tried to link a map of the Hill country to this email.I don't know if it will work,if not jut goggle Texas Hill country maps and you'll find it.
Here's the map
Sounds like a plan to me[sm=bounceybounce.gif] I didn't know that there was still things in Luckenbach because the last time I was there, only 3-4 building as I can recall. I remember that they stropped putting signs on 290 because people were alway taking them.
I think my brother lives off Hwy 32 about 12 miles from Blanco. Will be staying there because the price is right! FREE I will PM you and give you my cell # and maybe you can give me yours so we can connect while I am there. Maybe some other riders will want to tag along.
HarleyRulz got it spot on; that ride on the 3's, 335, 336, and 337 is a great way to spend some time riding. A few good places for a bit of chow and a drink here and there along the route. I'd like to tag along with ya'll if able. I'll PM my cell; give a call when you get into town and we'll tighten things up.

Odessa here.
I grew up in Odessa. Haven't been there is a few years but love to visit. The ride from Dallas to Odessa is grueling though, no scenery, just hot and flat.
