Well I headed out of Fountain Hills this morning and headed to Canyon Lake. Jumped on the beeline, to the 202...didnt know it was closed so I took greenfield to the 60 and was on my way. Just a gorgeous ride. This was first time in the twisties so it was a bit nerving but quite exhilirating at the same time. I cant tell you how many bikers I saw and of course waved to. I put about 120 miles on the bike today, didnt have to hit my reserve til mile 196.00 and now I am at 386 miles...woohoo. Not sure where I will go next weekend but what an enjoyable ride today.
The wife and I did that ride 3 years ago. What an experience. Talk about roads turning too pookey, we did the whole ride dirt, gravel and all. 5000 feet and no guard rails, let me tell you I was focused on the raod and not the scenery.
