will be there; got rooms jacked up through wbsaloonandcycles.com; the owner, Nelson, reserved a block of rooms at North Austin Plaza off I35 right behind Bikini's. $55.00 a night. Nice place with a big pool...and biker friendly.
Texas in June...yeah, I figured it would be hot, lol. But I still plan on primitive camping on-site unless someone can convince me it's a bad idea. Camping on site appeals to me because it's free and I don't have to worry about getting a DUI trying to get back to my hotel.
Hey, now that I think about it, any HDForums folks interested in linking up to meet/party at a designated time/place?
I’m about to head to lunch – will comment further when I get back. I went in ’09 and tent camped – LOVED IT! It wasn’t nearly as hot at night as I thought it might be, but I’ve got a tent with really good ventilation too.
There were a pretty fun crew – nice people. Watched out for each other’s stuff and whatnot. Wouldn’t hurt to contact them if you are interested in getting in touch with a group that’s open to anybody before the rally.
