Anyone gong to the ROT rally in June?
I'm riding out from SW GA. Been trying to get to this party for years. I've only heard good things.

Default buddy and I

will be there; got rooms jacked up through wbsaloonandcycles.com; the owner, Nelson, reserved a block of rooms at North Austin Plaza off I35 right behind Bikini's. $55.00 a night. Nice place with a big pool...and biker friendly.

I was just planning on primitive camping at the rally. I've never been to ROT before so I guess I should ask, do you think that's a bad idea?

Also, my buddy that was gonna come with me might not be able to make it now. But I'm still going, by myself if I have to.

Like stated above, the weather will be hot and the party will be going on non-stop!

Texas in June...yeah, I figured it would be hot, lol. But I still plan on primitive camping on-site unless someone can convince me it's a bad idea. Camping on site appeals to me because it's free and I don't have to worry about getting a DUI trying to get back to my hotel.
Hey, now that I think about it, any HDForums folks interested in linking up to meet/party at a designated time/place?

I’m about to head to lunch – will comment further when I get back. I went in ’09 and tent camped – LOVED IT! It wasn’t nearly as hot at night as I thought it might be, but I’ve got a tent with really good ventilation too.

Check these guys out:

There were a pretty fun crew – nice people. Watched out for each other’s stuff and whatnot. Wouldn’t hurt to contact them if you are interested in getting in touch with a group that’s open to anybody before the rally.

Ill be there with 4 of my riding buddies. Staying with a buddy north of Austin. Any comments about spots in Austin not to miss would be great.

I'd be up for a forum get together.
