Eastern Oklahoma
Will be riding out of Abilene TX. the third or fourth week of March. Lookin for ride route advise (once we are there). Also concerned about the weather. It is our 10 year of being wed and we wanna go somewhere besides the Hill Country. Is it to early to head to Eastern OK ? Any other suggestions for a short get away.. Thanks

If you are looking for a good weekend getaway for an anniversary, ride down to Alpine / Marfa / Fort Davis. It is about 4 hours from Abilene and is some great riding, stay at the Holland hotel in Alpine my wife loved that place. Check out all the art galleries, the Ft Davis telescopes, a few good restaurants down there.

Weather will be hit or miss, I'm in Tulsa it looks like the upcoming weeks are going to be fantastic. Really if you are coming to eastern OK I would suggest keep on going east into NW arkansas, there a lot more great motorcycle roads there, theres 23, 16, 21, 7, 123 just to name a few AR. Roads that are much prettier than the few we have in OK. Stay in Eureka Springs it's a pretty little town with boutique hotels and B&B's. We ride over there most of the time.
I'll shoot you a PM if you need to know anything up this way. Nights can still get pretty cold up here, not unheard of for us to have hard freezes overnight in early April so warm gear is needed.
