That paint is really bangin', and you're gonna' love the PV tuner! Now please don't ruin it all by doing a tank lift and wire tuck!!
Question though...my eyes went right to this...are you going to use anything to fill the original holes for the factory taillights? Some sort of thin blank plate painted a similar gloss black as the surrounding area would look good to hide the holes and depression in the rail covers...
=8^)
Funny you mention that because I am actually not a fan at all of the tank lifts or wire tucks. Maybe that's just me but I don't like that look, it's going to stay the way it is cosmetically for the most part. Heck, I even like the look of the stock handle bars.
As for the location of the stock taillights I have a plan for that. I am going to try to find some LED turn signals from a sport bike and put them over that recessed area. That should take care of my lack of rear turn signals and hopefully cover up the recessed area for the stock tails.
Your bike is awesome looking. I really like the way the black mechanicals compliment the red tins. Stunning!
Thanks! That's what I was going for. I almost had my painter to a hard candy black paint job but I kept thinking that would be too much black.
Red and black always seem to compliment each other so I went with red. Sure glad I did!
The paint job ended up costing $900. I figure that's fair though considering you need a special gun to do it, and on top of that the paint is pretty spendy itself.
Question: Where can I find the LED tail light you have? Of those minimal additions, now those I am a fan of.
Also, what does the south side look like?
That's what I am on the fence about too. I haven't seen one in person but I'm thinking it may be much too big for my liking. I want something smaller and simple I think.
It's a factory Harley part. I went down to my local dealer and they had it in stock. Well worth the money, it REALLY cleans up the back of the bike.
By South Side I assume you mean the other side of the bike (opposite of the exhausts)? I'll have to take some pictures, it's all black though, no chrome or polished aluminum at all, minus the bolts that hold the primary cover on.
I read somewhere in here that although that air intake looks big it actually gives you some extra room for the knees. I had seen this one as well but Im leaning more towards this RSD.
