It depends on what exhaust you plan on running. If you are just doing slipons (I did the Screamin Eagle slipons and Cycle Shack Baffles that fit the slipons for more torque and power over the stock SE baffles)
If you just do the slipons and leave the air filter stock for now, you can do it without having to purchase a tuner and have the bike retuned.
If you go with a radical shorty open exhaust or some of the 2into1 exhaust then you will need a tuner of some sort.
