Ok so I have a 14 883 superlow and am looking at getting some saddlebags as I do not like to wear a backpack while I ride. I reall like Harley's hard saddlebags but can't stomach the almost 2 grand they cost. I am looking to get something similar to those. Don't like the look of the leather bags with the buckles as it is not my style. I guess the question here is where can I find some decent priced bags.
I was going to get Harley's hard saddlebags if I had kept my Sportster. Didn't realize they were that much money. They sure do look nice though.
I am looking at the hard viking bags. They make a set that has a lock, leather, hard bags. I have a 09 iron, I think they would look good. I have read some reviews and have not found any horrible reviews. I think they are $315 with everything shipped to the door.

You can buy them colour-coded to match your bike. I considered getting them for my SuperLow, but am also a cheap-skate, so bought some hard leather-look bags instead. They leak like sieves when it rains hard......
Not sure how much stuff you're packing but I got the detachable sissy bar from HD and strap my backpack to the sissy bar when I need to carry a pack and remove the sissy bar when I don't. Much cheaper solution unless you just want saddle bags.
This is my plan, though I'm probablly going to get the burly tall one
You might try U.S. Saddlebags too. They do have buckles but they are only for looks as the real closure is hidden behind the straps and are the nylon quick disconnects. The bags lock on the bag frames (sold separately) quick removal when you want and a few other good things I'll let you read about on their site at: http://www.ussaddlebag.com/saddlebags.html
