Hello everyone, I'm hoping to be a iron 883 owner by the end of this weekend and had some questions regarding dimensions. My current living situation will not allow me to store the bike inside so I did the next best thing, I asked my employer if I could store the bike inside my workshop here at work to which they said yes.
Online I have found two or three different overall length dimensions for the bike. One being 85.3 inches and the other 88.8. My question is which one is it. My work shop is off a common area corridor. Hallway is roughly 5' wide and I would have to snake the bike in on a 90 degree angle through a common width door which is roughly 36"
Any info would be appreciated. The 3" variance could make or break this from happening.
Ef all that. Buy the dang bike, then worry about it. Pick the front wheel up and move/pivot the bike, if you have to. Do what you gotta do, but get the bike, first. That's the ONLY way you'll truly KNOW if it'll fit (I'm guessing it will).
Thanks for the info/advice gentlemen!! Hopefully by tomorrow morning I'll have some pictures to post. I'm working a deal on a left over 2014 amber whiskey iron. To say I'm excited would be an understatement. I look forward to contributing to this great forum. Thanks again
