Just assume that everyone on the road is out to kill you, and ride accordingly.

Stuff like that happens all too frequently, even when you are riding in a group.. [8D]

You'd better get used to it and not think of it as something abnormal or rare, because things like this happen all the time to bikers, and I have 'close calls' at least once or twice a month, and I'm sure others will tell you the same thing.I read the speeds of a lot of people in here and I can't help but shake my head sometimes. I do my best to keep the speed limit, ESPECIALLY in the congested city, and you've got to drive safely and defensively if you want to lessen your chances of being in an accident.I've been in 'em, was in a real bad one a few years ago in my truck, and it can happen to anyone, and when it does, there is nothing you can do about it.So, drive and ride safely is about the best thing you can do for yourself and your loved ones, and others as well.BTW, I had a lady cut me off like that once years ago, and I followed her on my bike to where she was going, and I pulled up behind her after she parked to give her a piece of my mind, and she proceeded not to listen to anything I said and toargue with me about everything even though I tried to at first politely reason with her, so it got me pissed off and I'm ashamed to say I then started to cuss her out and I used about every bad word I could on her beforeriding away. Well, as Irode away I got to thinking that the lady looked familiar, and then later on I discovered it was one of my mother's church friends, and man, it bothers me even unto this day. It was no way to talk to anyone, especially to a lady, and ESPECIALLY to one of my mother's church friends (I don't think she recognized me, though), and I let my temper get the best of me that day, but this is what can happen to some bikers sometimes when they nearly get run off the road. So, before you go cussing out any little old ladies who run you off the road, make sure they're not someone who knows you. It might not help your image or your conscience, ahem, hehe.

I remember back in the 70's I was riding my bike on the hwy. A lady almost ran me over. She rolled down her window and said;"Excuse me". I looked at her like, yeah you almost killed me.

Sorry, Zeb; I know it was a painful experience for you, but it sounds so much like a Seinfeld moment that it's actually kinda funny.
