Default Question about a seat

Hey guys, I've done a little digging and can't seem to find anything concrete. I want to know if a certain seat will fit my 2010 Sportster 48 with the 4.5 gallon tank.

Here's the seat in question:

Thanks for any and all help.

If you had the seat part number that would help. The only other option that I see is just trying it on if the seller agrees before purchase.

I dont think it will, but I cannot be 100% positive. I have a solo seat from mother road customs and they fit 2010-2015. the next range is 2007-2009, so that is what I am basing my information on.

I Think that seat will fit. Just bring your bike to try it on beforehand. or go to the HD site and see if the part number works with your bike

The only two part numbers the guy was able to give me were RDW-92/61-0067, which is apparently a seat pan mold number for several seats that fit several bikes. And 107724 which is on the underside of the leather. I was unable to find anything on that particular number.

I believe it should fit provided the seat is from a sportster with 4.5 gal tank. It is probably a good idea to ask the seller what Sportster model the seat came from i.e. Nightster, 1200, 883, 883C. etc. Certain bikes had certain size tanks. Then look it up or do a search on the bike to check specs on tank size.

If it came off a Nightster with a 3.3 gallon tank, no, it probably won't fit. I have a 48 with a 4.5 gal tank and pretty much any seat for a sporty with a 4.5 gallon tank will fit it.

If the Nightster seat was made for a 3.3, since the 4.5 is longer, the 3.3 seat nose will be too long.

Hmmm... looks like I need to change my sig pic.

I was told my tank is a 4.5, but i never can fit more than 2.9 in it when my fuel light comes on. I'm beginning to think it's a 3.3. Either way, i'm going to try it on the bike first so we shall see.

Most of the 2010 48s that I have seen came with the peanut tank that holds 2.1 gallons. Your 48 may have been changed to the 3.3 tank if you can only fit 2.9 gallons when the fuel light comes on. But it can also be the 4.5 and its giving you a real early fuel level warning. Take a photo of the tank and post it here so we can see what you have.
