Default Hoppe industries fairings for 48?

I am looking at purchasing a fairing for the longer trips on my 48. I have been eyeballing Hoppe Industries because they make a detachable batwing fairing as well as one that has an audio package for Sportsters. It is quite expensive so I would like to hear from anyone who has or has experience with this fairing. I want a good fairing that will provide wind protection as well as look good. I know this fairing looks good but how does it do as far as wind protection? I like the fact that it is detachable so I would be able to remove it when I don't need or want it on. Please give me your thoughts and any experience with this fairing. Thanks!

Unless the attach points are adjustable for width they wont work on a 48.

I just noticed the measurement chart and I see what you are talking about. Darn it. OK so does anyone have any suggestions for a fairing thay works well on a 2012 48? I would like to find a removable fairing for the long hauls.

I kinda like the Gaunlet fairing from Memphis Shades but it seems like its more for looks than anything. Does anyone have experience with this fairing?
