Default DK Customs Bullet Turn Signal Install on 2015 48

Has any one done this upgrade? Is it a semi plug and play or will it require some wiring?

I would assume the rears hook up somewhere under the seat area.... Do the fronts hookup inside the headlight assy or somewhere else?

I've done these type signals on a triumph but this is my first HD so I'm not sure do the exact steps.

Thanks,
AKM

Suggest you pick up a service manual if you plan to do things yourself. You can also ask DK Customs. They are always willing to help with prompt responses.
I have a 2011 XL1200L and my rear turn signal connector was routed to the housing in the taillight. I do not think the front turn signals are in the headlight (it wasn't on my bike), but not sure about the 2015 48.

On the bullet turn signals, they are not plug-n-play. You will need to get some bullet or spade connectors (or solder them in) to connect them to the existing wiring.

The rear turn signals you can connect under the rear fender (where the wiring connects for your stock turn signals, or run up to under the seat, where they connectors are. Either way works equally well.

For the front, the connectors are under the tank on the right hand side.

Instructions come with each, and if you did it on your Triumph, it should be easy for you on your 48.

We do have a plug-n-play rear LED set up. It just plugs up to the existing connectors on your 48. You can delete the stock signals, or keep them in addition to the LED Kit.

You can see all the details HERE.

Here's a pic, there are more pics, and a video in the above link-

We do not currently have a plug-n-play front turn signal unit. But we are working on it and should have it available in the next month or so.

Any hints on what these will look like? Anything like what you have on the Project 48 bike but DOT compliant? I hate the huge, stock turn signals in front.

The picture below is what we are converting to Plug-n-Play. They are white running lights, then they turn amber when blinking as a turn signal.

I do not know if they are DOT compliant. I do know they are more visible and put out more light than the stock turn signals.
