Modding Ham Can?
Is it possible to mod the ham can and add external breathers?
I'm ready to add a IED to my 07 1200 sporster, already has V&H sip ons, would like to change the intake but not really crazy with the looks of the aftermarket round air boxes.
Kind of like the K&N forward tube/horn type intake, but they seem to be upwards of $450.00.

That's what I would do if I actually wanted to keep the ham can.

On this forum at one time I recall viewing a photo of a Ham Can in which a rectangle section was cut from the top and bottom and wire screen applied.
I thought it looked good and certainly increased air flow.
Then there is the breather bolt bypass mod....

Also ordered X14 IED
Hoping that these items along with the V&H slip ons, will show some performance gains, and a smoother running ride as well.
Really hoping that it doesn't creates a whole new headache. Sometimes I find that somethings are just better left alone.
