just got a bike and its got white walls, which is exactly what i wanted, but i learned you gotta keep em up to par or else they'll look like crap, a friend told me to use fantastic cleaner with a scrub, curious if anyone else has any suggestions, as whats happening is its cleaning but kind of smearing it around at the same time, i was wondering maybe one of those magic erasers, but im open to all tips!!!! Thanks.
Yep, those magic erasers were the best on my whitewalls. When I had a Shadow Aero with those fat whitewalls, magic erasers were the best at keeping them clean.
Magic Eraser works good to get the tough stuff off.
Normal cleaning - I used the orange hand cleaner on them.
(The type you keep in the garage to use without water.)
It's got a little grit to it and works great.
I'd use it while washing the bike and then do a final rinse.
Kept them looking new!
Steel wool and your favorite spray cleaning product. SOS pads (steel wool with the soap built in) work very well.
Get some 1600 grit sandpaper. It's about the same as a "Magic Eraser" and probably cheaper.
