I came up with the screen name WVHogRider for a truck website that I belong to. The WV is for West Virginia, where I reside, and HogRider is due to my love of riding the scoot.
Many years ago in another life time, T shirts used to be only white. If you wanted to decorate them you rolled your cigs up in the sleeve a-la James Dean. Then along came T shirts with words and pictures. One of the first ones I had was an illustration of Snoopy hitting a horrific overhead tennis slap shot at the net. Under the picture was the word WHAAP. That explains where it comes from. Now, I'm unable to explain why this fascinated me and why I use it today!!
Mine is my Roadname with the Patriot Guard Riders.
As to how it became my PGR Roadname..Well, I needed a roadname, and when I bought my bike, I was totally new to Harley's. Just before I left the salesman said, Oh, we've got to get you signed up for your HOG membership. I had NO CLUE what he was talking about and found it amusing. I laughed and said, "Hell, it's not big enough to be a HAWG, it's just a little Pig." After that, Pig stuck as the name for my bike. Then when I needed a roadname, since it's a Sportster, I just added Sporty to the Pig. Seemed like a catchy Roadname.
my dad used to call me wrench.................about 15 years later someone else started calling me it all over again this time I was on the ff1098.......... it sounded good at the time anyway
In a prior life, I was actively involved in British Sportscars, especially Triumph's. I've owned / driven several over the years, including a '67 TR4A, a '72 GT6, and a '58 TR3A.
