I have a 883, XR1200, XL1200T and a Buell with the 1200 in it. I had the XL1200L. I do all my own work on my collection of 19 HD's and have service manuals for all of them.
Not according to Harley on their web site under specs they list all the 1200s with the same final drive ratios. I have a 2014 Factory service manual in front of me and it says all 1200s US and world models have a 38 tooth primary sprocket. Just got off the phone with Ronnies Harley Davidson parts and they looked it up and told me the 1200 T models did have a 38 primary sprocket.

Talked to parts manager at my local dealer, He looked up for both 2014 and 2015 1200 T superlow and they call for a 38 tooth primary sprocket from his factory parts fiche That's good as I can get, sorry.

And why would Harley make a touring model meant for the open road and put lower gearing in it. Just doesn't make sense.

See the factory specs for a 1200 Touring Superlow.

I've got a 2015 XL1200T. Love it. Got it Memorial Day and have put almost 5k miles on it. Plenty of mods. Taken it on rides from Tucson to Prescott on the scenic routes. Comfortable ride. Have V&H Staggered Short Shots, Screamin Eagle Heavy breather intake, engine guards, highway pegs, mini apes, new grips, retuned the ECU with a Fuelpak FP3 to account for the exhaust, got rid of the OEM mid controls and put forward controls on (huge difference, much less cramped and I'm only 5'9). Providing pics of stock vs. current.

Pretty sweet looking. I'm about 6'1 and hoping that i can get a tallboy seat and make enuff difference for me. LOL. I'm gonna start shopping in February. Test riding and such. I'm pretty sold on this bike as it is typcally under 13k for a new one. That should be feasable for me to afford.
