Howdy Fellas!
If you watched my teardown thread I have completed the teardown of my 1998 Sportster 883H. SO I today order a HD kit from Lowbrow Customs. Now, I am waiting the time for it to come in. My goal is to have a run switch (somewhere on the frame or just hard wired) and a start button (also somewhere on the frame somewhere). I want the handlebars clean! Aside from elec. start, the electronic assistance I want is Nil. According to state laws I need a high/low beam headlight...along with a taillight and brake light...no turn signals, and I was planning on doing a squeaker horn. I get it, dangerous yada yada...I am still youngish and this is only a bar-hopper/workhopper etc. So anyways,

What part of the wiring harness do I need to keep in order to continue proper operation, just run/start/highlow headlights, and brake light? I have honestly just not looked at the schematic, and I will with 0 replies just looking for experience driven ideologies.
~Phil

:Edit: also no spedo/idiot lights etc.::

You could consider starting from scratch? There are modern electronic wiring systems and kits available, which provide a small control box into which you plug wiring to the lights etc and will greatly simplify your installation. Ultima is one brand and there are others.
