Got a 14 Iron 883 & got some programmer questions y'all may know. Do any units change your rev limiter & how high an rpm is ok? Eventually I'm going to do 1200 conversion, so do any units allow you to adjust for simple bolt ons now then can adjust for 1200 conversion? Been looking at the Fuel Moto micro EFI & wondering if it wil do what I want. Thanx in advance for any help.
no dont get the micro efi for what you want to do. there are a lot better options for a big upgrade like you plan. i forget which tuners they are but go look in the tuning section and they have a good sticky on it to help you sort through it all]
also wherever you buy the conversion from work with them and see what they recommend.
As Ryan suggests, do your upgrade as an integrated package, rather than bits from many sources. The 1250 conversions are a great place to start, give a serious boost in performance and we have several threads on what is involved in installing one, which include tuners. Search for '1250' in titles and you will find some great reading matter.

The FM Micro EFI will not work for the changes your planning.
I did an NRHS 1250 upgrade to my 883 Sporty. Below is a link to the thread on what all I did to it.
The best programmer to use is the Power Vision Pkg. It will let change the rev limiter (6200 is a good safe #) and you can adjust for any bolt-ons now, and then whatever upgrades you do later. No Dyno tuning needed. When you get it from us you get Double the factory warranty, and unlimited Lifetime Support AND Maps (tunes). So anytime you make a change, just email or call and we'll send you a new tune for your new configuration. FREE. You can see more details HERE.
Here's a vid of the 883 after the 1250 conversion, using the PV for ecm programming. No Dyno Tune. Gives you an idea of the type of roll on power you can get.
Will a used power vision work if it's been on a different bike? I know the aev procal we sell for jeeps marries itself to the vin when hooked up. And the only way to use it on another vehicle us yo set the 1st vehicle back to stock, then it will work on a different jeep.

The Power Vision marries to the bike, and cannot be un-married. However, for $199 a 2nd bike can be added to the Power Vision, and for another $199 a 3rd bike.
So as long as the used Power Vision you get has not been married to 3 different bikes, you should be able to get a $199 license.
Keep in mind, you want to make sure you get a PV that has the correct cable for your year & model bike.
That's what I was thinking seeing how that's how it works on cars & jeeps that I work on. Well no sense in saving a $100 on eBay for a used then. Just get new. Do y'all do a discount on the tuner if you get the 1250 kit & tuner at same time? Thanx for your help.
I have the newest HD street tuner, a lot of negative noise on them but perfect for what I wanted. Stage 1 now and 883-1200 conversion later, it has both those base maps. It adjusted my rev limiter to 7000 rpm on my 883 at the moment. It has smart tune feature recording data while you ride and then adjusting the base map for your exact bike. Not as adjustable as others and only good if you stick with mostly HD components.
