Just wanted to post up a few picture comparisons of the Stock Sportster light (had a Sylvania SilverStar ULTRA bulb in it) and the Eagle Lights 5 3/4" Black LED Projection Daymaker II Headlight off Amazon.
The pictures are a little miss leading due to the neighbor had his Christmas lights, and driveway lights on in the picture with the stock headlight. He then shut them off when I took the second pic.
The Daymaker is much brighter and has a wider range on the sides. This is a big plus riding down the back roads at night.
I can't speak on how it compares to the Harley Daymaker, but for $200 it is definitely worth it.
I dont get it, your stock lights so powerful that it lights up your neighbors bushes and eve!
lol, but seriously, thanks for the comparative photos, i have been debating an LED swap for a while, these threads help lean me towards that direction.
Edit: AHHHH I was conned into posting on a two year old thread! side note, that same led is only $99 now lol....
seem to be a hundred happy buyers on amazon on the old model, weird that amazon doesn't have any VIII in stock... $130 would be a bargain if its what they say it is, and its reliable...

if anyone has any III experience, let us know...
I just put the gen III on my '16 72. No pics to compare to stock, but it is definitely brighter when riding at night. During daylight it does not seem as bright when viewed from any direction except head on. I like it at night, but I'm concerned about being seen during the daytime. With it being led, I don't believe a modulator will work.
I put the Gen III $135.00 from Amazon on my 2016 XL1200T. Looks great; works great, love the wide spread and at a little more then a third of the price of HD and many more offerings it was a great buy. With high beam during the day it is more visible. i also added the Custom Dynamics Cluster which helps a lot also.
