Default Conversion Question

So, I have a question... If this isn't the best place to put this thread, please direct me to the right one and I'll edit this.... and I might have posted this in the Custom Thread as well...

My bike is on the left, it's a 09 Sportster Iron 883. How hard would it be to convert it to the bike on the right? Not the exact bike, but something along those lines.

Here's my thing, I wanted to build a "classic-esqe" bobber, always have. I bought the Sporty and now that I'm about to pay it off, I was thinking of starting the build, but that would entail doing it from the frame up. See, I would a Shovelhead power bobber, hardtail conversion, and the look and feel of the bike on the right.

Basically, what would be cheaper? The frame up build, or the conversion? Also, is that conversion even possible on my bike?

Any advice and help would be awesome and much appreciated.

I knew there was a hardtail conversion for the bike, but would a Shovel fit into that frame?
