Hey guys I looked around some ,but couldnt seem to find ne thing on hyperchargers. How does everyone here feel about them??? Also, are they hard to tune in b\c they give so much more air??? I fig they wouldnt be as bad as the SE K&N intake right ?? thanks for ne help
They do not let in "so much more air." Tuning one is no more difficult than tuning most any other air cleaner. They peform no better than the SE or Big Sucker kits. They are mostly for looks.
ok someone told me down the line that they are a lot harder to tune......I am really wanting something that will give me the best bang for the buck. Style is not a must I want the power if I need it
I've heard they are harder to tune (I think I read it in American Iron) because they let in more air by opening at speed. Therefore, it's impossible to tune them exactly on a stationary stand or dyno.
I use to have a hyper charger as you can see in the picture.
but I didnt like it . some people swear by them and I wont dis-respect anothers opinion , but I will share my personal experience. it didnt perform as well as the screaming eagle on the dyno or by the seat of the pants . I also found it to be bulky and get in my way but you may not have tree trunk legs like I do. you may want to check out the big sucker or force winder ac and I hear good things about nrhs hurricane air cleaner. check them all out but for me the keep it simple thing seems to work best.
