Default Solo seat interchange question

Want to run an OEM solo seat on this 07 883 standard I rescued. Does anyone know how many years they will interchange? Will the newer style seat from the 48 fit? Been looking at used ones and notice a difference between the 4.5 and 3.3 gal. tank models. This one is a 3.3. Thanks

if you go to the website's, corbin, lepera, mustang...they'll tell you what year seats fit what bike and what tanks, 2.5, 3.3, 4.5 ect... 07-16, 97-04 ect....

48 seat is a "No Go"

For OEM take-off seats, your interchange is 2007-2009 because you have an ECM on your rear fender that the seat has to accommodate.

4.5 gallon tank is longer and needs a short seat. You can probably put on a 4.5 gal seat on your 3.3 bike, but there will be a gap

I just put a 4.5 gal tank on my wifes bike(2007 XL883) and no way is the original seat going to work for me. I have the original stock seat. If nothing else works.......

That's a good deal OP.

Like a "perfect storm"...fits your ECM and 3.3 Tank

Ok.. Let me pose another question without appearing too ignorant. I'm ASSUMING this is a 3.3 gal tank, it looks like a traditional sportster tank and not like the superglide looking tank they put on some of them, but then I've seen 2.1 gallon tanks as well. It ia the stock tank for this bike, but having never put fuel in it yet, I'm just guessing on the volume.

Yep...3.3

fskitch's seat is from the same year and model

The smaller tank (of current models) would be like the "48" tank

Perfect fit...the gods are smilin' down on you
