I have a wrap question...For those of you who wrapped your pipes, did you use 1 or 2 inch wide? Im having some pipes made, the shop making the pipes said it didn't matter just depends on me. Strange answer, I thought.
What is better fiberglass wrap or DEI titanium exhaust wrap?
The fiberglass wrap I have seen changes color. Black fades to white in areas of the pipes and I think looks good on some bikes. I used the 2" DEI Titanium on my pipes and it hasn't changed color in a year so far. I tried to get rid of the short shots cookie cutter look and wrapped the pipes and painted the chrome tips with heat resistant paint.
Nothing strange in what the shop said! What you want your bike to look like is so personal, colour and width of wrap is down to you. We have threads, where you should be able to see some members bikes, also check websites with wrap products, if you need inspiration. Plenty of images on the 'net!

In my (limited) experience, the 2" wide wrap is harder to get around tight curves without wrinkles, but provides better overlap potential. The 1" is better for tightly wound exhaust pipes, but with 50% overlap, you still have potential for gaps unless you're very careful (which we all should be) when you wind it.
The Titanium wrap is about 40% more cost. Sometimes the color just doesn't go with the bike, ya know?
If you use the silicone spray on the fiberglass, it will help preserve the color (black), and if it fades you can re-spray later.
