anybody else enjoy making things for there sportster
Here is the eyebrow. I'm still working on it.
My bars that I made. Window bars with a little bit of Z bar flare
Moved the ignition under the battery box. Made the holder for it.
Here is my stach tube. I keep my insurance and regritration in there
Lience plate holder. It attaches to the shock mount.
My highway pegs and my mids. Thinking of modifying them for something different.
And my speedo holder that I made. At attaches to the bolt that holds the gas tank on up front.
Thanks. They were actually pretty easy to make compared to my first set i made. The way I made them this time I was able to lay everything out flat. I had the bottom part made and the top part made. Then went home clamped the bottom part on to the bike sat on the bike and held the top part onto the bottom and figured out where I needed to weld it. Then marked them in two or three spots and then went back to my dads house where the welder was at and tacked the together and went back home made sure they were where I wanted them and then welded them solid. They have been a good set of bars. I really like the way they turned out. They were a pain to run the wires through. Luckily I only had a few wires to run.
I can get better pics later tonight but in this photo you can see the pedal highway pegs. The mid pegs. part of the bars, and the sissy bar installed on the bike before I put the fender bib on.
I can get better pics of the bars and the speedo and the plater holder and some other things I have made for the bike
Cool sissy bar also!

Thank you for the kind words. Appreciate it.
Laydown license bracket from a cut-up and drilled factory mounting bracket. The radius I introduced to the bracket, plate and chrome frame matches the telephone pole in the front yard. (no more stand-up billboard license plate)

OL's air cleaner cover (not my CNC machine, but I ran it then did the powder coating - two colors, over chrome)

Softail derby cover

Ignition re-location bracket (under front, right hand side of seat)
easy-peasy

Shifter peg onto brake pedal

Bungie bolts for attaching docking hardware (some all-thread, Loctite and powder coat)

Custom cut and bent "package shelf"/trunk mount for OL's previous Sportster (she positively refused to get saddlebags - it was all quick detach). Go figure - she now rides a Dyna Sitchback.

How my '05 looked two weeks after I bought it (laydown bracket already fabricated and in place) and how it looks, now

Cut it, weld it, grind it, file it, sand it, powder coat it. You can't be afraid of making mistakes. A night in the shop/driveway, is one less night I'm out getting in trouble.
