Okay guys, I guess I should post and say, "First?"
I decided it needed a few mods to really make it work right. D&D Bobcat exhaust in black was a no-brainer choice. It did require some slight bending in the D&D mount due to the tall shocks.
Im looking at this exhaust too, but in chrome. What mount did you have to bend on the exhaust? Im confused at what the tall shocks had to do with having to bend the mount?

Would you take some close ups of what you did?
Thanks
We had to bend the mounting bracket, the one that D&D sends with the bike is perfect for any other XL. But this one's tall shocks push the swingarm further downwards in relation to the motor, or so my tech tells me. We bent it out a little because before this, the tip was making contact with the lower shock mount.
btw I do it right. I pay a certified dealership technician to do all of my work. So if I seems like I don't know what I'm talking about, it's cause I don't.
I went to my local dealer, I referred to it as a "Roadster" twice, and this snotty dude working at the dealership raised an eyebrow and said "Oh, the R?" Nowhere on this bike does it say "R" Heck, its not even identified as a "XL1200R" Its a "XL1200CX"
I get that they have made "R"s in the past, but this guy needs to do his research before he starts insulting potential buyers....
Love the changes, but cant justify the price of new. Used "Dark" model sportsters were too appealing to me, hence how I ended up with the Nightster....
What's up max. Sonoma is a big county. I live in "town of".
Is the dealership you speak of Sonoma county HD? I deal with the parts guys frequently and I gotta say they're pretty cool.
I'll probably never buy another brand new bike due to the used market flood of garage queens. Just wondering who the sales dude was. If it is Sonoma county HD, maybe I'll study up on a certain model and go in there and test out this guy
I don't think it would handle/perform as good as the XR1200X I already have though.
Yeah I have to agree with you there...but the XRX is really a whole different class of bike. I love them would get one...but. How's your fuel tank doing?
