Default Pipes

I have an '08 1200L and wanting to replace the stock pipes. I'm leaning towards V&H but have also seen reviews on Screaming Eagles, Bassani and Bub. Besides some of the biased stuff I'm reading online, any of your thoughts?
Thanks!

Have an Iron 883, one of my first of the seemingly endless upgrades was V&S short shots. Have no complaints yet I really like the look of the Bassani Sweepers, damn this bike is taking all of my money, yet it is so much fun...so many options for the sportsters it boggles the mind.

I also have the short shots (along with 80% of sporty owners). They are loud but they do sound good.

Do you want a full system or just slip ons?

By full system you mean air filter, etc? Those are things to consider. What would you recommend?

By full system, I meant slip on vs full exhaust system. The slip on will just replace the mufflers on your current system (last 12-16" or so) where the full system will replace the whole exhaust system from the engine down. Slip on will be easier and cheaper but I personally like the look of changing out the full system.

I would also recommend changing out the air filter, but then you also will need a fuel management system, which will set you back another few hundred dollars.. So it all depends on what you are looking to do and how much you want to spend.

We have a 2008 1200L it has SE pipes and stage one. It is a very good set up and will last plenty of miles putting a smile on your face. Just hold on......
