What do you all think?
I would go talk to the apartment manager and discuss the manner in a friendly way. Tell them your a little confused as to why you got the letter. Tell him that you ride your bike to work most days and that's why your car doesn't move very often. It could be that they're having problems withpeople leaving their car in the apartment parkinglot when they don't actually live in the apartments and your car got mixed up in the "crack down."

Get the real story before you get mad and do something that will cause more trouble in the long run. If you start trying to get on them about the multi family issue I would expect them to start getting on you about the loudness of your bike. It will be easier for them to prove that your exhaust is illegal then it will for you to prove that more then one family lives in a single family apartment.

Sad part is my rent is dirt cheap.
The real sad part is the owners can change that whenever they want.
Can they? We haveincrease restrictions here. Rental on a residence can only increase a maximumof6% a year (cost of living increase).

Sell the car!!

Seriously though, Ihad a similar problem, and I own my house in a subdivision. My Jeep RARELY gets moved. Less than 300 miles on it in the last year. Some of the old retired folks around here, that aren't happy unless they are complaining about something, brought up my "abandoned" Jeep at a homeowners meeting. So, now I just drive it around the block once a week. That helps to keep the battery charged on the thing anyway.
I'd be sure to blow the horn as I drove around the block each week just so the sleeping seniors know it's still running
Maybe about 10PM

how about this: every other day park your bike where your car is and put your car in the spot you park your bike. or you could move your car around to the management parking every other day.

I'd put my bike in the apartment...... But I'm odd like that.

I talked to the manager today. They said it won't get towed. I'm a happy camper. I wish I could put my bike in my apartment.
