My stock bars are a bit of a reach. Getting a sore neck. Recommendations on a bar that's up and back a little? I'm also looking into a new seat that's lower and pushes me forward.
I originally had the HD 10" mini apes on my Iron 883. It was extremely comfortable and also had good pullback. Of course you could adjust them a little in the clamps if you needed a little more pullback.
I didn't like the original handlebars. I wanted to sit up and enjoy the scenery. I had the 10 inch mini-apes put on. They raise you up and pull back. I wanted a bit more height and added 2 inch risers by Loner Industries. Or, you could just go with 12 inch mini-apes.
I also like the super reduced solo reach seat that harley makes. It lowers and sits you forward. You can see the seat and handlebars on my 48 in my sig pic.
My wife wanted a little easier reach, so she purchased a set of HD Hollywood Bars, just like the ones on my slim. We're still waiting for them to arrive at the Stealership. But, there was a bike in the showroom they had done up with the bars. It fit her nicely.
As you can see in the pic, i dont have to lean forward hardly at all. I have a bad back and the drag bars were iut of the question. These bars were on my bike on the showroom floir so in not sure exactly what brand they are but they are comfy and look great in my opinion.
