Sort vs. standard
hey all - jumped over from Touring. My daughters BF just got a 2003 Sport - did not know such a thing existed. other than 2 plugs per cylinder what is different?
Bike had 4700 miles and he paid $4100.

What is different...as compared to what?
XL1200S besides having a rigid mount carbureted Evo engine, it has fully adjustable sport suspension and triple disc brakes. Don't know of any other major differences.
Nice ride...good buy IMO.

The Sport is a factory tuned version, unlike any other models AFAIK. It comes with twin plug heads and other tuning changes, giving it around 70HP IIRC. It was succeeded by the XR model with even more performance. SOunds like the BF should get himself the factory service manual for it, so you can read more!
