Also does anyone know what type of force this brake rod is under? I could unscrew the eyelets from the rod iself and screw them onto some threaded rod but its a pretty small diametere. I would be worried about ti failing.
I knew it. Never buy anything from Custom Chrome. This kit was total horse ****.
Its a 2" extended kit so the shifter side it moves the shifter and peg forward 2". On the brake side it only moves the peg forward 2" not the brake. Thats weird for 1, but 2, they lengthened the brake rod 2" even thought the brake lever hasn't moved!!! So have they seriously never come across this before??? Am I the only one who has ever bought this kit?? They never installed it to see if it worked!?!?!
Other than that, I had to drill out those little spring washers for the foot pegs to install because the holes didnt line up with the clevis mount.
AND I had to grind down the one clevis an 1/8" so that the locking ring could fit in the groove. Either the pin was too short or the clevis too wide.
3 Big issues in one little kit. and it took 10 days to ship to me. WTF
