1990 sportster 883 with 1200 conversion/Blown engine What would you pay?
So im looking for a project bike to hardtail. Found a 90 sportster on craigslist and the guy wants 1500. Im headed over to look at it tomorrow.
It Has the 1200 conversion on it other than that its stock and has 19k miles on it.
He said he was riding it last November and it got hot and burned up the engine. Not sure how much of this is true or if im getting the whole story lol.
Just wanted to get some input from you guys on what you think it would be worth. He is saying that it just need bored to 1250 and new pistons etc or it could be worse than that.
It has been sitting since this happened and hasnt been torn apart.
NADA is showing any where from 1000 for good condition to 500 for fair condition.
