Default Turn Signal Indicator

Yesterday morning, I noticed that the left turn signal indicator on my '15 XL883N wasn't working. The lights themselves (ie, running lights and turn signals) are fine, but the indicator on the panel below the speedo doesn't come on. Right side is perfectly OK.

What to do? Take it to the dealer right away and have it dealt with? Wait until my next service (about 1,000K away) and have it looked at then? Ignore it, as it isn't really a big deal?

Thanks!

Alan

Take it to the dealer. It's broken and should not be, it's under warranty and should be fixed for free (ooo, a rhyme:-)

You will either have a wire issue(pinched, cut, broken etc) or need a new indicator assembly, part number 69200080 - tell your local dealer's Service Consultant this and he should be more than helpful. If he's not, I'll take care of him

Yeah I'd get it fixed ASAP, if your signal is on and you don't know it you could end up with someone turning in front of you because they thought you were turning, technically could end up being your fault for the collision due to improper signalling.

I just spoke with the service rep at the dealership, and made an appointment for Wednesday of next week to get the fix done.

I've had mine replaced at the dealer once for the same reason. A couple years later and now I have a light not working again. I do believe harley has a quality issue with the dash indicator. Now I'm stationed in Japan and not sure if I can get warranty work done. We shall see.
